Damage is the amount of injury a weapon, explosive, hazard, or environmental effect can deal to a player. Weapon pages usually show a base damage value and body-part multipliers so players can compare how hard different weapons hit.
Weapon Damage
Firearm damage starts with the weapon's base damage value. Hits to different body parts then use different multipliers, which is why weapon pages list values for Headshot, chest, stomach, legs, and arms.
Damage can also be affected by distance through Range Modifier. A weapon with a stronger range modifier keeps more of its damage at longer range, while a weapon with a weaker range modifier loses damage more quickly.
Other Damage Types
- Explosion damage comes from grenades, rockets, mines, and other explosive weapons.
- Melee damage comes from close-range weapons and bayonets.
- Fire damage can come from incendiary weapons or map hazards.
- Fall damage, suffocation, barbed wire, back blast, and projectile impact damage can also appear depending on the situation.
